Erin became a certified level Pilates Instructor in July 2007 through Jen Campbell’s Articulate Eye Pilates teacher training program at the American Dance Institute. Erin is also a certified level practitioner of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and has studied to teach with the method’s creator, Juliu Horvath and Master Trainers, Hsiao-Fang Lee and Tracy Monaco. Erin first discovered Pilates in a dance class at Penn State University while pursuing her degree in Arts Administration. She then encountered Pilates again while working at the American Dance Institute in Rockville, MD and began her intense practice of the Pilates method. Erin’s love for the Pilates method grew from the unique body awareness and deep strength it cultivated within her. Every movement, even simply walking up stairs, became a new and more powerful experience. Her discovery of the liberating movements of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® reminds her of what it felt like to swim or dance as a child. Erin’s goal for each lesson is to empower her clients with insight that improves how they move and feel outside the studio. She approaches time with her clients with an appreciation for how Pilates and the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® can be modified to provide beneficial results for any age or ability, from young ballerinas and athletes to inspiring people in their 90’s. Her clients often comment on her attention to detail and her gentle but challenging teaching style.
